Eye on the task ahead: Jersey cricket captain Ryan Driver

JERSEY’S Nepal-bound cricket captain Ryan Driver is full of enthusiasm over his squad for the World Cricket League Division V test next month.

The former Lancashire professional said; ‘It’s a nicely-balanced squad of youth and experience and many of the players have played in previous tournaments while the younger ones have competed in various age group categories.

‘Anthony Kaye has played at under-19 level, in the World Cricket League in Tanzania and in Europe so already he has a lot of experience despite still being young.

‘Charles ‘Chuggy’ Perchard has earned his place on the back of proving himself in the NatWest Weekend League Premier Division last season, while we also have the experience of Matt Hague, Dean Morrison and myself.’
