Saints still in hunt for record haul
Saturday 9th January 2010, 3:00PM GMT.

Craig Russell (centre) has scored 13 goals for St Paul's this season but he could now miss the rest of the campaign
ISLAND football is not only facing a possible white-out this weekend, as the continuing icy conditions threaten the scheduled programme, but also a whitewash as powerful St Paul’s bid for a record-breaking six trophies.
The referees’ appointments and fixtures’ secretaries will no doubt have more work thrust upon them as postponements appear a certainty today as snow and ice continues to cover many pitches.
But Channel Islands champions and current Dandara Jersey Football Combination Premiership division leaders St Paul’s do not return to action until Tuesday evening, with a league match against hosts Jersey Scottish at Springfield. They have lost Muratti striker Craig Russell to a spell of touring and he will be sorely missed.
Craig Culkin and Martin Cassidy’s side have not played since 28 November, when they defeated First Tower United 7-1 at St Saviour, and the Saints will be keen to get up and running again as quickly as possible as they have a busy schedule as a result of still being involved in all competitions in the Channel Islands.
