FORMER world champion Frank Bruno is the latest big name boxer set to grace our shores, thanks to the Jersey Dinner Boxing Club.

One of Britain’s best known heavyweights, Bruno, who won a points decision against Oliver McCall to take the WBC title in 1995, will be the star of the JDBC’s latest show on Saturday 27 February at the Hotel L’Horizon.

The night, called An Evening with Frank Bruno, will also welcome back Island regular, and much-loved, Joe Egan whose pursuance of an acting career is proving successful.

The former sparring partner of Mike Tyson has just finished filming his tenth movie and last month graced the red carpet for the new Sherlock Holmes movie in which he appears as the aptly-named Big Man.
