Ian Horswell, a vice-president at Grouville Football Club
GROUVILLE Football Club are searching for a new manager as a result of first-team boss Ian Horswell taking a step back because of personal circumstances.
Horswell, who has been in charge for ten years and is a vice-president of the parish club, became a father for the first time last month when his wife, Kelly, gave birth to daughter Lucie.
Horswell said: ‘I’m going to miss it but I’m happy to lend a hand to who ever the new manager may be. I’m really flexible and we will be discussing the issue at a general committee meeting tomorrow night.
‘I’ve already taken the step away as Russell Le Feuvre and Scott Henry were going to take the team last Saturday against the Portuguese Club and that remains the case for this Saturday too with the first-team playing away to St Ouen.’
