Bowlers ready to bid for CI glory and Perth berth

Jersey’s Lindsey Greechan faces a terrific tussle with Guernsey’s European outdoor champion Lucy Beere
JERSEY indoor bowlers bid to win Channel Islands titles this weekend and therefore qualify for the British Isles Championships in March in Scotland.
After a false start last weekend, when the championships were called off because of snow, all systems are go this time round with a busy schedule mapped out for two days of action at the Hougue du Pommier Stadium in Guernsey.
Ty Thomas, president of the Jersey Indoor Bowling Association, said: ‘Several sections are being defended and I’m confident the team can bring back some silverware.
‘All the women’s teams bowlers have represented Jersey over the past few years and one match really worth watching will be between Jersey’s Lindsey Greechan, who never gives in, and European outdoor champion Lucy Beere.’
