ALMOST certainly, ex-Plymouth Albion RFC player Ross Allan has played his last game for Jersey this season.
The popular 24-year-old Jerseyman, who was under contract to the club and has been part of Jersey’s phenomenal rise to the top of National League III South East, had an operation on his elbow on 18 December and will be out of action for several weeks.
‘There were some loose piece of bone floating around which had to be removed,’ he said. ‘That was the consequence of being hit in the tackle. The arm’s very tender at the moment, but I know it’s healing.
‘I don’t know if I’ll be playing again for Jersey this season because on 18 February I’ll be flying to New Zealand to play their season, which begins early in March. One club, Spotswood, have already offered me a contract and I’ve also been contacted by Portsmouth Old Boys, so I should be playing for either of those two sides.’
