WE all know what the headland at Plémont looks like with the holiday camp looming on the top, but the advantage of being an artist is that things can be made to disappear very easily.
I made this painting at the end of last summer on my way around the Island, recording the coastline for a forthcoming exhibition.
When confronted by the stunning view at Plémont, I couldn’t bring myself to paint the ugly scar on the top … so away it went. If only it was that simple!
