Once this surburban enclave is up, there will be extensions, no doubt

From Genette Dagtoglou.
THE outcome of the Plémont debate is depressing, especially in the light of the JEP leader’s impassioned plea.
Of course there are constraints at this difficult time. However, there seems to have been no detailed effort at evaluation and negotiation on a realistic basis. Figures are up in the air.
What is certain is that a suburban enclave on the Plémont headland will be there for all time. And the architects pull the wool over our eyes; one proposed car park provision for minimum two-member families eight miles from town? That is a joke.
As soon as this enclave is up, there will be applications for extensions and enlargements – which will be allowed, no doubt.
We have one generously pledged donation. I call on the wealthy who have chosen to make Jersey their home to defend its beauty now.
