Shooter Romy Smith will be eyeing a bigger target with Jersey’s U16 squad this weekend
JERSEY makes a highly anticipated return to English League netball tomorrow in the South West Under-16 Netball League.
With no senior or junior side competing in the UK league for a couple of years it is a welcome step forward that coach Linda Andrews is ready to make the most of.
She said: ‘Everyone is very excited about being back in the league and this season we are using it as a development exercise to give all the girls in the squad the opportunity to play against English opposition.
‘Being out of the league for a couple of seasons means the girls have not had the build up as in previous years so we are looking to expose everyone this season. Most of the girls are in the lower age group so this opportunity will stand them in good stead for next season.’
