MAJOR reviews covering the 14+ transfer to Hautlieu and vocational training could transform the Island’s education system.
Reviews of funding, vocational courses, secondary options, demographic changes, higher education and inclusion are being carried out this year to see if the department is offering students enough choice, and whether it is being run efficiently enough.
Reviews on the departmental management structure, the 2005 cultural strategy, library service and fee policies are also being undertaken.

Education director Mario Lundy said that the ten reviews – due to be completed between April and December this year – represented an important piece of work.
