A brilliant strike from Brett Pitman help Bournemouth to a 3-1 League Two victory at Rotherham last night

JERSEYMAN Brett Pitman matched last season’s haul of 17 goals for AFC Bournemouth last night with another good finish in his team’s 3-1 League Two win at Rotherham United.

Pitman’s 15th league goal of the campaign levelled the scores and it was another brilliant strike.

Just 90 seconds into the second half, Pitman skipped past Pablo Mills with ease to run clear on goal before producing a sublime chip over the advancing goalkeeper and into the net.

Pitman, who missed out on the Sportingbet Sports Personality of the Year award in Jersey, last Thursday, was outstanding last night and his goals alone are keeping The Cherries on track for promotion.
