Max Tupper was unbeaten on the day to retain the junior title
JERSEY’S Craig Gascoyne and Max Tupper both retained their Channel Islands Top 12 table tennis titles on Saturday.
In the senior event Gascoyne coasted to three routine 3-0 victories over Guernsey trio Martin Sarré, Paul Hainsworth and Adam Langlois but faced a tougher test against Sarnian Ollie Langlois.
His opponent, who gained a 3-1 victory over him in the team event at the Island Games, is turning into somewhat of a nemesis as the Jersey table tennis development officer suffered a 3-2 defeat.
In the junior event Max Tupper went one better than Gascoyne, remaining unbeaten on the day to retain his trophy with a maximum 22 points.
