Town Criterium gets title boost
Thursday 4th February 2010, 3:00PM GMT.

Last year's Rubis Jersey Town Criterium cycling race was a great success
THE streets of the Town centre will be closed on Sunday 30 May for the staging of the second Rubis Jersey Town Criterium cycling race.
The spectacle attracted hundreds of spectators to St Helier last year and this year’s audience will also get the opportunity to see the recumbent cyclists vying for the world championship title.
Recumbent cyclists, who lie down on their machines, will be all out to win the World Human Powered Vehicle Association World Championship crown.
The event will be staged in Jersey for the first time and competitors are expected from 20 countries riding their hi-tech bikes which have aerodynamic covers.
