ST PAUL’S Football Club bid to reach their third cup final of the season tomorrow.

In a re-match of last season’s Upton Park Trophy, the Saints take on Guernsey Northerners in a Wheway Cup semi-final at Clos des Pauves in St Saviour.

With the Charity Cup already won and a place in the Jeremie Cup final against Guernsey’s St Martin’s booked for April, a third final appearance is beckoning for Jersey’s current champions.

Currently unbeaten in 24 matches, St Paul’s will fancy their chances as North’s form is patchy following recent turmoil at their club. North lost Island players Glyn Dyer and Craig Young shortly before Christmas, as well as former Northampton Town trainee Kieran Mahon.

The departed trio all criticised the committee’s running of the Club and blamed that as their reason for leaving.

• Kick off at St Saviour is at 1 pm.
