THE date of the Siam Cup rugby match between Jersey and Guernsey has been changed to Saturday 1 May.
The match has been moved to accommodate the Jersey club’s commitments in the National Three London League.
The bad weather earlier this year resulted in several matches having to be rescheduled. It means that should Jersey continue through to the semi-final of their division, they will play on Saturday 24 April, the original date of the Siam Cup. A win there would put them in the final to be played at Twickenham on Saturday, 8 May.
It is also possible that the football Muratti Vase, currently scheduled for Monday 3 May, will be changed to the weekend of 8 and 9 May.
This depends on results achieved by the Guernsey team in the National League System Cup League quarter-final next weekend. A decision will be made after that match.
