CONVENT A shattered St Clement A’s unbeaten record in Division I of the Dominion Winter Netball League last night with a 50-35 victory.

From the start Convent displayed an unrivalled fluidity and centre Sarah Dodson proved to be the driving force behind her side’s winning ways.

She linked the ball neatly into the shooting circle with goal attack Sophie Holmes finding space and precision to convert with devastating accuracy.

With St Clement struggling to get into their stride, Convent took full advantage and dominated the centre court, turning over the ball and forcing a 17-8 lead after the opening quarter which they extended to 28-20 by half time.

With an uphill battle on their hands St Clement fought hard to close the gap and showed glimpses of the brilliance that is set to reward them with the title this year. But it looked too great a deficit to reclaim as they went into the final quarter 41-26.
