Fort to host martial arts night

JERSEY’S Fort Regent will be the site for the big Battle of Jersey martial arts night in May.

Robert Fernandes, head instructor of Cho’s Tae Kwon Do Jersey club, is organising the event in association with Global Kickboxing Ireland on Saturday 8 May.

There will be various matches involving his club, Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy, Jersey Kickboxing Club and Pisces Thai Boxing Gym.

Islander Monika Markowska, WUMA World Champion, and Irish National kickboxing champion Barry O’Toole will be topping the bill in what Fernandes describes as ‘the biggest and best show ever to be held in Jersey’.
