‘Adaptable’ Jersey seek more points at Pompey
Friday 12th February 2010, 2:59PM GMT.

Dan Hawkes returns to the No 10 shirt for tomorrow’s match away to Portsmouth.
JERSEY play their second away game in a row when they take on Portsmouth RFC in National League III London and SE tomorrow with only two changes from the side which battled back to win 35-10 at Sutton and Epsom last weekend.
Following an outstanding game for Jersey IIs, who also won at Sutton at Epsom last Saturday, Dan Hawkes returns at stand-off while young David Felton comes into the side as hooker ahead of Maori international Nathan Kemp.
‘David deserves his chance after playing virtually every game when Nathan was injured,’ explained JRFC head coach Ben Harvey. ‘Despite Nathan’s pedigree, David offers genuine competition in that position and since he’s come off the bench (usually in the second half) he’s done nothing wrong. He warrants his place in the starting line-up.’
Harvey’s only long-term worry is cover for Donovan Sanders and Sam Tuia in the threes. For former Plymouth professional Ross Allan will be departing for New Zealand in a week’s time; Ashley Maggs still has a worrying back injury and Charlie Clyde-Smith has a damaged ankle.
