Taylor title chances increase

TWO victories and one defeat were recorded by Bedell Group Jersey Squash players in the National Championships in Manchester yesterday.

Allen Brown and Nick Taylor moved into the quarter-finals of the over-35s and over-60s championships respectively while Rob Hickling was eliminated by a lower seed in the men’s over-45s section.

All the matches finished 3-0.

Taylor, who defeated Ireland’s Paul Byrne yesterday, is now top seed in the over-35s section following the withdrawal of No 1 Scott Hanley because of injury.
