Jersey's Donovan Sanders scored two on Saturday
The Jersey Rugby Club achieved another emphatic victory in the National Division 3 London South East League on Saturday.
They beat Portsmouth by 61-16 as rivals Old Albanians achieved a similar victory against Hayward’s Heath, winning by 38 to seven.
The results make it almost certain that these two teams will finish first and second in league at the end of the season.
Jersey’s head coach Ben Harvey said after Saturday’s away game that what pleased him most was his side’s total commitment to winning.
‘We played very, very well, and were always direct,’ he said. ‘And the players take nothing for granted. Portsmouth were well organised and the boys had to earn their win which is always very pleasing.’
