THE Portuguese Club of Jersey will play St Paul’s in the Wheway Cup final after winning their semi-final against Grouville last night on a penalty shoot-out.

Following a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes and extra-time at Les Quennevais, Portuguese won the shoot-out 4-2.

Grouville’s Marco Vieira blasted the first spot-kick over a crossbar while Ryan Durand, who went third, had his kick saved low down to his right by goalkeeper Marcio Caldeira. Successful for Grouville were Bradley Russell and goalkeeper Garry Lloyd.

Portuguese scored all their kicks through substitute Carlos Carolo, Joao Antunes, Bruno Sousa and Ricardo Eivid.
