New gym for Thai Boxing Club
Saturday 20th February 2010, 2:59PM GMT.

Mike Blood will be going for a British title
THE Jersey Thai Boxing Club is hoping for even better things now that they have moved into a new gym on Stopford Road.
Having previously used Fitness First as a training base the club spent three months refurbishing a property and turning it into a fully equipped gym.
JTBC trainer Rob Mitchell said: ‘Although Fitness First was a great venue, it hasn’t been the best environment to train members for fights but we have done extremely well considering.
‘The new gym will surely help the club’s fighters in future bouts and with the next show at Hotel De France in April it can only mean good news. Mike Blood will be going for a British title and two times world champion Iman Khan is taking on a Thai champion from Bangkok making this event the biggest the Channel Islands has witnessed.’
The club is keen for other local clubs to benefit from the new gym and an open day for potential members is being held on Saturday 27 February from 1-3 pm.
