Disaster in Madeira: More pictures

More pictures show the devastation in Madeira where 42 people have died and 70 have been injured as a result of massive mudslides during a storm on Saturday.
Torrential rain caused tons of mud, rocks and debris to sweep down the hillsides into parts of the capital of Funchal, destroying homes, overturning cars and leaving scenes of total devastation.
