Tight defence has Harvey calling for more of the same

ON paper at least, Jersey’s visit to tenth-placed Diss in National League III London and SE tomorrow should be a formality.
After all, Diss have only won five games from 18 played and at St Peter early in the season the JRFC 1st XV beat them 67-5.
However, as Jersey coach Ben Harvey explained: ‘They must be quite tidy if they only lost to (second-placed) Old Albanians by one point at home.’
And, after what their press officer called ‘a nine week hiatus’ over the Christmas and New Year period (during which time the only rugby they played was away), last week they beat Portsmouth 24-13 to give them a five-point cushion over the four teams fighting relegation beneath them.
