THERE was success for St Mary, Janvrin and Victoria College Preparatory Schools in the Jersey Primary Schools Sports Association’s Open Cross Country on Friday.
Zoe Pannenborg won the Year 5 girls’ event helping St Mary to the team win ahead of Jersey College for Girls and FCJ. There was a win, too, for St Mary’s Amber O’Driscoll in the Year 6 girls’ race but the team honours went to Janvrin with Bel Royal second and FCJ third.
VCP did the boys’ double winning the Year 5 team race, from Grouville and St Martin, thanks in part to a one-two from Pierre Sangan and Freddie Mehigan.
They also took the Year 6 honours, ahead of De La Salle in second, while race winner Samuel Maher’s performance ensured Grouville finished third.
