Jason Woodward had six months added to his jail sentence for his part in the crime

ONE of Curtis Warren’s Jersey henchmen was yesterday sentenced for his part in an incident described as having all the hallmarks of an attempted gangland punishment beating.

It was suggested that Jason Woodward was targeting a man who may have supplied his mother, who is thought to have died of an overdose, with drugs.

The 22-year-old defendant, who is already serving five years for plotting with the Liverpool drug baron to smuggle 180 kilos of cannabis into Jersey, was jailed for an extra six months by the Royal Court yesterday.

Both he and co-accused Ross Buckley (25) admitted one charge of committing a breach of the peace at Westmount Court on 4 October last year. The court sentenced Buckley to two years’ probation.
