Trio aim for Commonwealth standard
Saturday 6th March 2010, 2:59PM GMT.

Mike Coward, above, will be aiming for Commonwealth Games qualification marks in India next week
FOUR of the Island’s top archers will be heading to Delhi this weekend with three of them seeking to become Master bowmen, thereby qualifying to represent Jersey in the Commonwealth Games.
One of them, Lucy O’Sullivan, ranked fifth in ladies’ compound in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, is already a Grand Master and has therefore qualified for both Britain and Jersey.
The other three, Michael Coward, Geoff Hairon and Steve Roche, are looking to improve their standings in the Grand National Archery Society’s rankings with Coward listed highest (40th) in the men’s recurve.
The competition, organised under the auspices of the Archery Association of India, has attracted entries from around the world and after practice day on Monday will last week-long, from Tuesday onwards.
