JERSEY’S Swimarathon raised another record-breaking grand total, it was revealed today.
Thousands of swimmers helped to rack up £137,000 at the annual event at Les Quennevais sports centre.
A total of 448 teams took the plunge this year – the Island’s 39th Swimarathon – to raise money for Holidays for Heroes Jersey and the Jersey Special Gymnastics Club. And once again the team who brought in the most cash was the Lieutenant-Governor’s Royal Seals, who raised £28,000
