JERSEY team manager Jon Welsh has announced a 20-player training squad ahead of Saturday week’s Kleinwort Benson Muratti semi-final away to Alderney.

Portuguese Club of Jersey striker Cliff Silva has been included for the first time while the remainder of the squad have been in or around Welsh’s FA Carlsberg National League System Cup campaign this season under the guise of the Dandara Jersey Football Combination.

The squad, which will be trimmed to 18 for the match, is: Stuart André, Scott Devlin, Jack Cannon, Dave Watson, Luke Watson, Mark Lucas, John Paul Martyn, Craig Leitch and Ross Crick (all St Paul’s); Jimmy Styles and Dave Le Roux (Trinity); Chris Andrews and Jamie Savory (Jersey Wanderers); Joel Speight (Grouville); Craig Fletcher, James Scott and Paul Aitken (Jersey Scottish); Sean Heslop (St Ouen); Neal Crowell (St Peter) and Cliff Silva (Portuguese Club).

Eight of the above squad played in Jersey’s 1-0 Muratti Vase final win in Guernsey last year when captain Stuart André netted the only goal at The Track.
