Coach demands Jersey set the tone
Friday 12th March 2010, 3:00PM GMT.

Jersey coach Ben Harvey.
JERSEY RFC’s ambition of finishing the 2009-2010 league season with just the one defeat – 24-19 away to Bracknell in the opening game back on 5 September – continues as they meet Havant at St Peter tomorrow, with a slightly later kick-off than usual of 3 pm.
It is also the first weekend that National III South East leaders Jersey can mathamatically clinch the title – although that would require not only a bonus point win, but also a highly-unlikely defeat for second-placed Old Albanians who are home to fifth-placed Basingstoke.
But victory over Havant is not a foregone conclusion. For so long the premier club in Hampshire, the county that Jersey are affiliated to, victory would certainly be savoured by the home crowd. But, on paper at least, Jersey should win, having beaten them away, 41-19, at Hooks Lane.
However, coach Ben Harvey believes that neither he nor the Havant director of rugby, Adam King, took much away from a game which was played in 60 mph winds and atrocious conditions.
