FORGET Ronaldo and Rooney β youngsters may soon be worshipping Bruce Lee and the All Blacks rugby union team after an alternative sports programme was introduced in Jersey schools.
The Community Sports Development team is now teaching martial arts, wall climbing and Haka dancing as part of a new approach to physical education.

Dave Kennedy, community and schools sports manager, said: βIt is all about trying to find new and innovative ways of getting children interested in PE.’
