Thomas Greechan, Jamie MacDonald and John Lowery make up three of the Jersey fours bowls team
JERSEY have two chances of lifting a British Isles indoor bowls title in Perth, Scotland, today, when Lee Nixon and John Lowery will be involved in the finals of both the triples and fours.
In the triples, they line up with experienced skip Cyril Renouf, who guided them through their semi final against Scottish champions from Bainfield, skipped by junior international Paul O’Donnell, yesterday morning.
There was only one team in it, as the Jersey trio opened up a 12-2 lead after eight ends, and sped to a 21-6 result in just 16 ends to set up a final clash with the English champions, from Blackpool.
The Jersey quartet, which has a familiar look to it, has Nixon and Lowery at the front end, with Jamie “Snapper” MacDonald and Thomas Greechan looking very much in charge at third and skip.
