WORLD CUP winner Richard Hill was suitably impressed with this year’s offerings at the Lord Jersey rugby tournament at St Peter yesterday.
‘It was a tremendous final, with some great attacking rugby,’ said the England and Saracens flanker.
He was not wrong. A well-drilled De La Salle team put on a tremendous show against Les Quennevais and fully deserved to lift the impressive Lord Jersey Cup after their 24-0 victory.
The young Beeches, able to field several of the Jersey RFC Academy U16s, were a credit to their coaches and put in an excellent display of handling, fast feet and teamwork.
