A video grab of Debbie and Alan Dorey making an appeal to their son to ‘just get in touch with somebody’
SIX items belonging to missing Guernsey student Jonny Dorey have been found by a river close to where he disappeared three weeks ago.
The items were discovered by a member of the public yesterday afternoon in Richmond, Virginia, where the 22-year-old was studying Geography at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Two boats from the Richmond fire department started searching an area on the north bank of the James River at the northernmost part of the Rocketts Landing property yesterday evening. That search was expected to resume this morning.
The find came on the same day as Jonny’s parents, Alan and Debbie Dorey, who are in America, released an emotional appeal for their son to get in touch. Jonny (22) has been missing since 2 March. He was last seen wheeling his mountain bike away from his dormitory on the VCU campus. His bike is still believed to be missing.
