JERSEY bid for a fourth consecutive Nigel Gavey Memorial Trophy victory in the under-16 Muratti at Springfield Stadium tomorrow afternoon.
Central defender Matt Rondel scored the only goal in Jersey’s 1-0 win against Guernsey last year and together with retaining his place he will captain the Island team.
Rondel is one of four players who were involved last year; the others were striker Charlie Petulla and substitute goalkeeper Ryan Le Couteur while striker John Tardivel was an unused substitute.
Jersey manager Keith Le Cornu, who named his team last night, said: ‘It is a talented squad this year and I know people will be surprised when they see some of the players who have been left out.’
