The men were sentenced by the Royal Court
THREE men went on a crime spree fuelled by energy drinks to steal more than £22,000 worth of people’s property.
They committed 37 offences over a five-month period, including stealing the wedding presents from a couple who were on their honeymoon.
In the Royal Court on Friday, Paul Robert Hartley (21), Daniel Jason McIntyre (22) and Ryan Francis Godel (20), admitted a total of 37 offences between them in five months, between 12 June and 16 November last year. They received a total of 1,044 hours of community service.
The apprentice carpenter, plumber and electrician all came from good families, did not have any drug or alcohol problems but had committed the ‘escalating spree of thefts’ for a buzz and from drinking too many energy drinks, the court heard.
