French firms sign up for trade show

UP to 50 French businesses are expected to attend an event designed to promote links and joint initiatives between Jersey and France.
Hosted by Jersey Enterprise and Huelin Renouf, the shipping company with a new service to Cherbourg, and supported by the Maison de la Normandie et de la Manche, the Normandy Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Bureau de Caen and Manches-Iles Express, the event is being held on 14 April in the Town Hall.
Economic Development Minister Alan Maclean said: ‘Jersey has traditionally looked north for supplies and export opportunities.
‘However, Huelin Renouf’s welcome investment in a new freight service to the Normandy port of Cherbourg opens up more opportunities for local businesses to trade with France.’
