St Clement win Netball Winter League

St Clement A were crowned Dominion Winter Netball League champions in emphatic style at Les Quennevais last night..

In dominant form they finished their Division I season on a high with a 59-8 defeat of St Brelade A to push them past Convent A, who completed their final game last week.

Captain Jenna Meredith said: ‘We’re so happy to win. Last night’s game went really well but it’s not been an easy season, it’s been tough. We had a few close calls and some games were tighter than they should have been but we came through.

‘It’s been a real squad effort as we have lost a lot of players to sickness throughout the season so we’ve had to call on our B team and thanks to them for stepping up, it really helped.’
