LES Ormes could host even bigger tennis tournaments than last week’s Jersey International.

Organiser Hugh Raymond said that despite their facilities being reduced from eight to four courts, they are in discussions with the Lawn Tennis Association about holding future events.

He said: ‘We are losing four courts but we still have the capability to host an event, we just can’t host both a men’s and ladies’ tournament at the same time which is a great shame.

‘I did have a horrible feeling being back in the office today knowing that we would not put on another event like the last. I was feeling quite deflated because it’s been such a great success and nobody wants to lose this event.’
