Delhi going the extra mile effort

Budding athletes of the future were among Islanders who took part in the Queen's baton relay in November as part of the build-up to the Games
DELHI is doing everything they can to make this year’s Commonwealth Games a safe event.
That is the impression of Jersey team manager Paul Huddlestone on his return from a visit to the host city of the October event.
Having joined representatives from 70 other teams on a tour of the venues Huddlestone, who was joined by assistant Paul du Feu, believes security levels are high.
He said: ‘I think if any terrorist wanted to make an attack it would be difficult. It’s safe to say that the games venues, transport and the village will be heavily protected.’
