Frustrated Boyle aims to battle back
Thursday 8th April 2010, 3:00PM BST.
JERSEYMAN Jack Boyle is recovering well from his third operation of the season at Southampton Football Club.
The former Muratti and Jersey Scottish midfielder returned to the south-coast club on Tuesday following an operation to his left hip just under three weeks ago in Coventry.
Boyle said: ‘It’s been a really frustrating season; two hernia operations and now a hip operation. It was keyhole this time. I had a bit of bone impingement and they’ve shaped it up and it all feels well now.
‘Rehab is going to be hard because I’ve been told I cannot jog or kick a football for five weeks. I have been doing some work in gym together with 20 minutes on a bike and walking and jogging in the pool.’
