Wanderers’ treble top

JERSEY Wanderers completed a cup treble last night following a 2-0 P W Touzel Memorial Trophy final victory against St John at Springfield Stadium.
A goal in each half from Paul McLaughlin and Jay Reid secured Wanderers the win and they added the silverware to go alongside their Championship and Willis Memorial Trophy successes.
Wanderers manager Mark Woodford said: ‘We didn’t play that well; St John played five in midfield and that made things difficult for us.
‘We had no patience with our passing but it did get better after the break but it was certainly not a vintage performance.’
