Jersey ‘will have a level playing field over zero-ten’
Friday 23rd April 2010, 3:00PM BST.

The president of the Jersey Society of Chartered Certified Accountants, Wendy Dorman, speaking at the Chamber of Commerce lunch.
JERSEY will not be treated any differently to the Isle of Man when Europe makes a decision about the zero-ten tax package, business leaders were told this week.
The president of the Jersey Society of Chartered Certified Accountants, Wendy Dorman, said she believed it was inconceivable that the Ecofin Code of Conduct group would allow a zero-ten structure in one island but not in the other Crown dependencies.
She made the comments in response to a question at a Jersey Chamber of Commerce lunch at the Pomme d’Or on Wednesday.
Jersey has been told that some EU member states believe zero-ten is not within the spirit of the code but the Island’s tax structure has not actually yet been found to be non-compliant with the code group’s requirements.
However, the Isle of Man has said that it had been given an indication that its version of how it applied the tax structure would be considered acceptable to the group.
