Top British restaurateurs to be given a taste of Jersey
Monday 26th April 2010, 2:57PM BST.
JERSEY beef, potatoes and vegetables will be on display at a top London hospitality show tonight.
Celebrity chef Cyrus Todiwala OBE, who visited the Island last year to meet farmers and growers, will be using Genuine Jersey produce for the main course at the National Restaurateurs’ Dinner. The meal at the Dorchester Hotel is organised by the British Hospitality Association and will see 400 chefs, restaurant owners and food writers from all over Britain enjoying food grown in Jersey.
Mr Todiwala showcased Island produce at his London restaurant Café Spice Namasté last December. For the meal on Monday 26 April he has chosen beef from Darren and Julia Quénault’s Classic Herd, St Peter and Jersey Royals and vegetables from Trevor Le Brun of Holmfield (Growers), St Clement.
