Big test for women’s Muratti team

JERSEY defends the silverware in the Kleinwort Benson women’s Muratti against Guernsey at Springfield Stadium tomorow afternoon.

Manager and coach Tony Hoyland says he has put together what he believes is the strongest squad available to him and they have prepared as best they can.

Hoyland said: ‘The squad has trained well but with no games it is a big test for us on Sunday to turn up and play well.

‘When you have no opponents to play against you have no options to try things out. However we had a match against St John’s and a few players from other clubs on Tuesday night and it went well.
