Tuesday 4th May 2010, 3:00PM BST.

The Jersey team, ecstatic after their win, celebrate on the pitch. Trouble broke out later on Saturday evening (00949311)
A POLICE investigation is under way after two Jersey rugby players were allegedly assaulted in their hotel room by two Guernsey team members as violence flared following the annual Siam Cup match.
One Jersey player – 20-year-old David Felton – suffered cuts and bruises to his face and scratch marks around his neck following the alleged attack in Guernsey’s St Pierre Park Hotel in the early hours of Sunday. His room mate suffered bruising to his jaw.
It is believed that the alleged attack followed a separate incident in town during which a Guernsey player was allegedly assaulted as he got out of a taxi.
Inspector Trevor Coleman, from the States of Guernsey police, this morning confirmed that a man from St Peter Port was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of assault and later released pending further inquiries.
The trouble followed a resounding win for Jersey in the match.
