AN album featuring a song created by a Jersey duo is currently number one in the UK album chart.

The chart topping record, by former X Factor contestant Diana Vickers, features a track called Put It Back Together which was written by Jersey singer Nerina Pallot and produced by her and her husband, fellow Islander Andrew Chatterley.

The album, called Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree, went straight to the top of the charts on Sunday, following its release last Monday.

Nerina and Andrew’s song is the fifth tune on the record. As well as creating the track, Nerina also sings backing vocals on it and the pair also play keyboards.
