We miss the benches

CAN someone please tell me just where the benches that used to be along the walks from West Park to Millbrook have gone?
How things are at the moment, with the work going on along the Avenue, there is no way the benches will be reinstalled, as the powers that be have moved the cycle track right over to the newly planted bushes, making it impossible to put the benches back.
I have just had a thought – maybe the benches are to be put in the car park adjacent to the walks. Let’s hope we are not charged for the privilege.
I did telephone Transport and Technical Services but to date have had no reply. So perhaps if the powers that be read this, then we may get some answers.
