A picture of spring

BUDDING photographer Jack Maton has won the JEP photographic competition, Springtime in Jersey.
His picture of a red squirrel posing in the early morning sunshine in his garden was judged the best out of over 80 entries and won 13-year-old Jack a Canon PowerShot G11Digital Compact Camera.
The runners-up were Paul Carpenter with his picture taken on a cold spring morning on Ouaisné Common, and Robert Vautier with his photograph entitled Enjoying the View at Wolf’s Lair. They both receive an A3 metal print of their submitted entry.
The competition was run in association with Fotosound and was judged by JEP picture editor Peter Mourant and Fotosound’s Barry Jenkins.
