Meet the star of Superbikes
Friday 28th May 2010, 3:00PM BST.
MOTORCYCLE fans have a treat in store, literally, next Saturday at Bob’s Motorcycle Centre, when the leader of the British Superbikes Championship will be on hand to meet customers and sign autographs.
Tommy Hill is currently racing away with the championship, but he has found time in his busy race schedule to visit Jersey to promote the new range of Shoei helmets. And he is bringing his brother Jimmy with him.
In addition to also being sponsored by Shoei, Jimmy has ridden for the Centurion Triumph team in the Superstock 600 Series this season and picked up a victory at Brands Hatch on his debut in April.
Tommy sits on top of the 2010 MCE British Superbike Championship with 146 points, well clear of the chasing pack led by Josh Brookes (110). In the four rounds completed, Tommy has two race victories, four second places and a third.
The Hill brothers will be on hand to showcase the Shoei XR1100 and X-Spirit II helmets. And Bob’s Motorcycle Centre are also launching a new range of Kevlar-reinforced Hornee jeans and Sidi boots.
As well as the chance to meet the racing brothers, a number of promotions are running for the duration of the open day on Saturday 4 June.
Put down a deposit for a new Triumph motorcycle and you will receive a free Shoei helmet worth £400. Anyone putting down a deposit on a Kymco scooter will receive a free helmet and starter pack.
See today’s motoring supplement in today’s JEP, for a competition, in association with Bob’s Motorcycle Centre, in Devonshire Place, to win a Shoei XR1100 helmet worth over £390.
